MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade experience growth both physically and in the level of academics and independence during middle school. Students learn to think independently while progressing through increasingly rigorous academics that prepare them for high school. While students still have homeroom teachers, their core subjects, English, mathematics, science, social sciences, and Bible are taught by teachers with backgrounds in these subjects, giving students the opportunity to interact with a great number of teachers at school. Students also have an opportunity to take electives in Art, band, choir, and Physical Education. Athletic opportunities are a great way for middle school students to put into practice the life lessons they are learning at school. Sports include coed soccer, cross-country, and volleyball for girls in the fall, boys and girls basketball teams in winter, and coed track and field in the spring.
