ACCREDITATION
Accreditation is an indication of an organization’s commitment to excellence in every aspect of its operation. To obtain accreditation, schools perform a rigorous self-evaluation and review every aspect of their program as measured against national and international standards which represent best practices in the field.
ACSI accreditation indicates that a school is pursuing excellence in academics, but also in the spiritual growth of students. To this end, ACSI accreditation requires that school’s examine the impact of their biblical vision and mission upon each program and stated student outcomes as well as verifying compliance with accepted educational practices and management.
Southwest Christian School is accredited through ACSI and Cognia. Southwest is the only K-12 institution on Portland’s westside to hold dual accreditation from both organizations.
